The letter was in Britt’s coffin, the truth made Jason & Liesl cry General Hospital Spoilers

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of July 28-August 1 reveal there’s a good chance that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) could discover an empty grave when they go “digging” (so to speak) into Dr. Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) demise.

A fire has been lit under Jason ever since he spotted Britt at the Paris airport.

CDL has confirmed that Kelly Thiebaud has indeed reprised her popular Britt Westbourne role, as it has been uncertain upon her return.

Still, Jason doesn’t know that, but it looks like he soon will.

After all, it’s been years since the good doctor passed away at the hands of The Hook, a.k.a. Heather Webber (Alley Mills), and as GH viewers recall, Jason was not around when Britt passed away.

With that said, the GH preview for the week of July 28-August 1 seems to imply that Jason will be ready to follow his instincts and investigate the possibility that Britt’s alive.

He feels it in his bones that Britt hasn’t passed, and this week, he’ll be ready to take action.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) fluffed off Britt being alive when the two had a chat during the July 23 episode, but Jason was skeptical – he knows what he saw.

Plus, Jason knows a thing or two about these types of situations, and he also knows that there is always a possibility that Britt could be alive, despite what the situation seems like.

GH spoilers for the Monday, July 28, and Tuesday, July 29 episodes note that Jason and Liels will talk about Britt, and her passing will likely come up.

After all, Jason may question exactly what happened to his ex-girlfriend, and as Britt’s mom, Liesl will fill in all the blanks.

If anything seems off about Britt’s passing, Jason could urge Liesl for help. Especially as he believes he saw Britt at the Paris airport.

Could this prompt him to ask Liesl to look into Britt’s grave?

The very idea of digging up her daughter’s casket will break Liesl’s heart; however, if there’s a chance that her Britta is still alive, seeing an empty grave could trigger an investigation.

As such, Liesl may push the button on this.

On top of everything else, Jason will turn to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) for a favor during the Thursday, July 31 show, so she may also answer some questions he has surrounding Britt’s passing that could also provide clues that Britt is not gone, but very much alive.

Then again, as the head nurse at the hospital, he may also have questions about morgue processes or even how to dig up a grave.

Regardless of what Jason needs, it looks like Elizabeth may get involved in some capacity.

All arrows are pointing to Britt’s grave being dug up this week to prove she’s alive.

GH fans can only imagine the shock both Jason and Liels will feel when they find an empty grave and realize that Britt is still in the land of the living.

General Hospital spoilers note that once Jason gets this confirmation, he’ll jump on an investigation to find Britt to reunite her with her loved ones in Port Charles; however, without knowing the reason why Britt’s stayed away for so long, what kind of obstacles will the next part of this storyline bring?
