Portia had a very tough time while she was under Drew’s control. Even though she is a well-respected doctor working at the hospital, her feelings of hate towards Heather began to affect her actions.
Because of these negative feelings, she started behaving unethically. In other words, instead of following the rules of her profession, she did things that went against medical ethics.
For example, she secretly changed the results of Heather’s medical test. Sadly, Drew was clever enough to discover what Portia had done. He gathered enough evidence to prove that she had tampered with Heather’s test results.
Using this information, Drew sought to control Portia. His plan was to make her persuade Curtis to write positive articles about him.
However, Curtis didn’t like what Drew was doing. Now, he is beginning to understand why his wife often seems to side with Drew.
Curtis is a man who hates being lied to. In the past, he divorced Jordan because she lied to him about Taggert’s fake departure. He then married Portia, but on their wedding day, he discovered that she had been hiding the truth about Trina’s parentage.
Although Curtis was angry with her at first, he eventually forgave her. Still, now that he knows she continues to keep secrets—especially new, bigger ones—he feels exhausted and fed up. His trust in her has been damaged repeatedly.
Because of all these issues, many stories suggest that Curtis and Portia might eventually say goodbye.

Just last week, Isaiah accidentally overheard a private conversation between Portia and Ava. From what he heard, he realized that his colleague was experiencing significant problems in her marriage.
This realization prompted Isaiah to see that Trina’s mother needed someone to talk to and understand her situation. On an episode that aired on Wednesday, May 20th, Isaiah decided to reach out to Portia.
He took the initiative and offered to listen to her feelings and concerns. Despite currently being in a romantic relationship with Jordan, Isaiah noticed that Jordan was spending too much time with Sidwell, which might also cause their relationship to fall apart.
