Rebecca Herbst leaves the show, Liz faces being eliminated from the picture – GH Comings and Goings
As television viewers are well aware, the small town feels increasingly suffocated by the ominous shadows cast by a deeply troubling figure named Cyrus. The recent string of horrific ᴍᴜʀᴅᴇʀs tied to the sinister use of digitalis has gripped the community with a pervasive sense of fear and suspicion.
Most residents are not just guessing but firmly convinced that Cyrus is the nefarious mastermind behind these chilling serial ᴍᴜʀᴅᴇʀs. In an effort to uncover the truth and provide some semblance of justice, Liz and her partner, Lucky, have taken matters into their own hands, delving into their own investigation of the darker aspects of Cyrus’s life.
Their quest has led them to a facility known as Turning Woods, a place that might hold crucial information and evidence regarding the questionable activities associated with Laura’s brother. Although they have not found convincing evidence to prove his crimes, they initially have reason to believe that he is the ᴍᴜʀᴅᴇʀᴇʀ.
In the episode that aired on February 7, Liz called Turning Woods nurse Gail to thank her for her recent help. Just then, Cyrus appeared and was informed that he had been banned from visiting the patients. Feeling the walls closing in and aware that his reputation precedes him, he began to wonder who might be behind the malicious whispers regarding his character.
Ironically, the very answers he sought presented themselves when he accidentally overheard a conversation between Gail and Liz. In response, Cyrus hastily conjured up the idea that Liz must be the one spreading these damaging rumors about him.
It became evident that Jake’s mother was about to become his next victim. Cyrus has never let anyone who got in his way escape, and the chilling past of his victims, including Sam and Dex, serves as a stark reminder of the brutal lengths he will go to eliminate any perceived threats.
General Hospital spoilers predict that Liz might meet a similar end. Before Cyrus’s mask comes off, he’ll make Liz “go away” forever. If so, actress Rebecca Herbst may exit the show.
