MINUTES AGO! It’s Over! Nicholas Alexander Chavez Drops Breaking News! It will shock you! GH Return
General Hospital spoilers tease that the last actor to play Spencer Cassadine is speaking out about the character’s future. Nicholas Alexander Chavez left the soap to portray Lyle Menendez on Ryan Murphy’s Monsters: The Lyle and Eric Menendez Story. Before this, he made his daytime debut on GH, playing Spencer for years.
Spencer Cassadine is presumed dead, but soap characters have at least 21 lives, right? So, will Chavez reprise the role? Keep reading to find out what he has to say about that.
When asked by TV Line if he is done with the sudser, Chavez replied, “No, Port Charles is a crazy place. We’ll have to see what happens.” That could be news to GH fans, some of whom thought the actor would not want to return.
Chavez debuted as Prince Spencer Stephan Nikovich Cassadine in 2021, but several actors have had the role. Spencer first debuted in 2006 with the baby twins, Kaden and Nicholas Laughlin, in the role. Later, the character was portrayed by various actors, including Nathan and Spencer Kasima, Lance Doven, Dayen Ransom, Nicholas Beckle, and Ramy Yousef. Chavez was in nearly 400 GH episodes before he bowed out, according to EO.
During that time, Spencer stalked his mother-in-law, going as far as anonymously gifting her an encased roach. He also served time in jail, rigged the sprinkler system of an art gallery to rain down fake blood, went to jail again, held a socialite at knife point, and ultimately died after being injected with a lethal substance and falling overboard into the river.
Since wrapping work on Monsters, Chavez was hired for Grotesquery, but he is no longer on the series, meaning he is free to return to GH.
Chavez won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Performer in a Drama Series in 2022 for his portrayal of Spencer.
Tell us, GH fans, would you like to see Chavez return as Spencer and resume his relationship with Trina Robinson, played by Tabyana Ali?
