Why Haley Pullos Left ABC Soap
General Hospital fans were completely shocked in April 2023 when news broke that actress Haley Pullos had been arrested. The details were even more surprising. Just 24 at the time, she was arrested on charges of driving under the influence. The actress was involved in a wrong-way crash on a California freeway. The other driver was seriously injured.
She initially pleaded not guilty to the charges but reached a plea deal in 2024. She pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 90 days in jail. Haley Pullos also received a punishment of five years of probation, 200 hours of community service, and an alcohol treatment program. Furthermore, she was ordered to pay over $8000 in restitution to the other driver.
GH Alum Seeks Return To TV After Arrest
Haley Pullos was playing Molly Lansing-Davis on the ABC soap at the time of her arrest. She’d been playing the role since she was a child. Viewers literally watched her grow up on screen. She left the role after her arrest and never returned.
The show struggled to recast the role. Actresses Holiday Mia Kriegel and Brooke Anne Smith briefly stepped into the role. But they didn’t mesh with viewers. Kristen Vaganos took over the role in 2023. Fans of the soap were hesitant to accept her at first because they hoped Haley Pullos would return. However, the actress eventually won fans over with her stellar performance during the loss of Molly’s baby.
Molly’s sister, Kristina (Kate Mansi) was a surrogate and lost the baby after falling several stories out a window. Kristina became unhinged after the loss of “her” baby and is likely on the way to jail or Ferncliff soon.
