General Hospital Spoilers: Maurice Benard Retirement Rumors Buzz, Was Laura Wright Hinting At Sonny’s Incarceration?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease more Maurice Benard retirement rumors are circling-Laura Wright, who plays Carly Spencer was “quoted” that he’d be gone in October!
The mystery poster in Daytime Dish claimed she said ‘Jarly’ was happening in November in an interview, and couldn’t if Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was there!
General Hospital Spoilers – Is ‘CarSon’ Or ‘Jarly’ Happening?
In the latest Daily Drama podcast dated September 6, Steve Burton, who plays Jason Morgan, and Bradford Anderson, who plays Spinelli, interviewed Laura.
The podcast discussion was about Sonny, Carly and Jason, and what would happen to Sonny. However, nothing was said about Sonny’s future in the show or Maurice’s plans for the future.
There were also a series of shorts, and obviously if the Daytime Dish mystery poster heard this in an interview with Laura, it wasn’t one of these.
When asked by Steve in an earlier short if Sonny and Carly were getting remarried, she didn’t see it-but they did discuss Jason and Carly being each other’s “ride or die”.
GH Spoilers – Maurice Himself Has Neither Confirmed Or Denied Anything
Maurice himself has not confirmed or denied he’s retiring or if Sonny is being written off the show; he tweeted recently he may not be making personal appearances for a while.
Regarding an appearance in Bellmore, New Jersey he made on September 6 he tweeted this statement wanting fans to take notice. “This may be my last one for a while-I’m not trying to get you to go, I’m just telling you the truth; let’s have some fun.”
But that could either mean he’s going to be very busy with filming General Hospital as Sonny or it could simply mean he is working on other projects or has some other commitments.
General Hospital Spoilers – If Maurice Is Retiring, How Might He Be Written Out?
Given the storyline currently, if Maurice is retiring, how might he be written out? We already know Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is going to be killed off, and there’s a possibility that Sonny may be connected to that in some way.
The show films out of order, and sometimes scenes are filmed a shorter amount of time ahead of airdate, sometimes longer.
Someone could want to avenge John “Jagger” Cates’ (Adam J. Harrington) death-and come gunning for Sonny and succeed.
On the other hand, whatever the Daytime Dish poster heard or thought he or she heard Laura Wright say may have been subject to their own interpretation and Sonny stays!
