General Hospital Spoilers: Comings and Goings 2024
Avery Christen and Nicholas Alexander Chavis are going. Nicholas Alexander Chavis made the announcement on January 26 that he would be taking a temporary leave of absence from the program. His final episode as Spencer Cassadine aired on January 31. Additionally, Ryan Murphy’s recently launched television series Monster, which centers on the Menendez brothers, features Nicholas. It has been announced as of April 25 that he will not be making a comeback to the show.
Avery Christen departed her role as Esme Prince when her character was murdered off. Additionally, it’s unclear if Spencer will be recast, but nothing is off the table.
General Hospital Comings and Goings: February to March 2024
In early 2024, Steve Burton, who had departed Days of Our Lives a year earlier, came back to General Hospital. He returned to the character of Jason Morgan on Monday, March 4, marking his first episode back.
Additionally, Soap Opera Digest reports that Cody Kavitha made her debut as Bobby’s new manager, Hunter. She has previously starred in Awkward and SWAT. Virginia Ma, who has worked on Magnum P.I. and The Thundermans, will portray Madison, Nina’s new assistant. Prior to her disappearance, Lydia Look made a comeback as Selena Wu in February 2024.
Since the beginning of the year, Adam H has made two appearances as Nicholas Cadan, while Cassandra James has made more appearances as Terry Randolph. Perry Sh has also returned as Brad Cooper.
Hudson West has taken a temporary leave of absence to attend art school in Spain, but he will return. Soap Opera Digest reports that Enzo the Angelis, who played Aiden Spencer, the son of Elizabeth Baldwin, has departed the program and has been replaced by Tristan Rigs, who made his debut on May 2 after leaving for Spencer Cassadine’s burial. Elizabeth’s eldest son, Cameron Weber, played by William Lipton, made a quick return visit. Scarlet Fernandez and James Patrick Stewart both departed a few months ago, although plot synopses suggest that they may return.
The families of Gregory Chase and Hamilton Finn have also seen changes. Gregory Harrison, who played Gregory Chase until his death from ALS, has left the program permanently. Michael Easton’s portrayal of Hamilton Finn has left soon after, yet the character is still being brought up in therapy.
Before that, Giop Palmieri and Giovanni Maza, a new relative of Cullo, arrived for the wedding of Harrison Chase and Brooklyn Quartermaine. Amanda Sin along with a few other minor characters have appeared. Ellen Travolta made a brief comeback in the role of Brooklyn’s grandma, Gloria Cerulo, following the wedding.
General Hospital Major Returns and New Characters
In addition to Steve Burton’s portrayal of Jason, there have been other significant comebacks and the introduction of several new characters. Brian Craig played Morgan Corinthos, who persuaded his suicidal father, Sonny Corinthos, out of an apartment. Carlos Roda portrays a new major villain, and both Jen Sewell and Jonathan Jackson have made long-term returns to GH. Jackson plays Lucky Spencer, which is a significant plot point regarding Lucky’s comeback, along with Emma Samms reprising her role as Holly Sutton.
Rick Hurst made a comeback as Rick Lansing, and there have been significant recasts as well. An actress who was once Lulu Spencer has revealed that Alexa Havens has been cast in her place. It has been determined by General Hospital to recast Lulu. Although I’m devastated, I’m relieved that I can now move on. The two-year-old twin daughters, Riley and Miley Plansky, are the new actresses portraying the part of Maxie Jones, Kirin Storm’s daughter.
Lulu’s plot is heavily connected to Lucky’s homecoming since she requires a liver transplant due to liver failure, which is being held up by Lucky in Africa. GH teases that John J. York has made his triumphant comeback as Mac Scorpio after taking time away from the program in September 2023 to focus on his health while battling myelodysplastic syndrome and multiple myeloma. He’s back and doing fantastic.
John revealed that his return felt fantastic and effortless, stating that all of his co-workers on set gave him an amazing embrace as soon as he stepped into his dressing area. Much like when he announced his temporary leave, he received warm hugs from everyone.
A long-delayed narrative involving Kobe Bell and Josh Kelly has been resolved, revealing to Mac that he lied about the DNA match regarding his son. However, this resolution has not come without turmoil.
General Hospital Spoilers: Exits and Guest Appearances
Adam J. Harrington and Tanja Walker are no longer part of the show. Adam J. Harrington, who only took over the role of John Jagger Kates in February, was killed off in September. Tanja Walker’s character, Olivia Jerome, was cut off screen, and the actress discovered this news through Twitter. The plot surrounding Sonny killing Jagger and his family covering it up will have far-reaching effects, given that a character has been wrongly accused and is in custody.
There is a significant likelihood that Jagger’s murder will result in the death of another character later on. In a shocking departure, Jacqueline Grace Lopez, who played Allison Blaze Rogers, has left the program after being fired. Eva LaRue was cast as her mother, Natalya Ramz, who might potentially be Sonny’s romantic interest.
Paris Hilton made a cameo appearance in a surprising role to coincide with Jacqueline’s departure. Additionally, Sarah Sherman, known for her role on Saturday Night Live, made a special guest appearance as dialect coach Robin Finch, called in by Tracy Quartermaine to help eliminate Lyn Culo’s dialect.
New Characters and Future Plotlines
A new doctor is in town! Sandi Wilson recently joined the program as A.A. Ganon, a transplant surgeon who Lucky got out of Sidwell’s facility. He is connected to the Lucky plot and made his debut on August 26. It appears that Tanisha Harper’s character, Jordan Ashford, is a potential love interest for him since he has already come to know a number of Lucky and Lulu’s friends and family. There’s a chance he will also be involved in Lulu’s future liver transplant.
Sandi is under contract for the part of Isaiah, so he will be sticking with the program. His work on the Star Trek franchise has made him most famous.
General Hospital Spoilers: Shocking Developments
In a twist, Sam Maul is assassinated. Returning to the link surrounding the murder of Jagger, Sam Maul is destined to perish. Lindsay Hartley has replaced him multiple times recently. After more than two decades as a member of the GH family, Kelly Monaco was taken aback by the news after being seen tossing a pistol into the river from Robin’s Bridge. Alexis Davis, played by Nancy Lee Grahn, is currently in Pentonville, and Sam intends to go diving for the gun, although everyone is aware that it is not the murder weapon.
Finding the pistol would exonerate Alexis and Christina Corinthos Davis. Kate Mony, who took it from Sonny’s vault, dropped a clue in a discourse regarding the turbulent waters of the river beneath.
Will Sam be murdered while diving, and will Lulu receive her liver?
