‘General Hospital’ Fans Worried For Tracy Quartermaine
Fans of General Hospital have seen Tracy Quartermaine serve as a villain on the soap over the years. However, recent events have seen the character act out so much fans have been calling her a bully. Notably, the character was recently the subject of a takedown from another character. All the while, some fans suspect she’s just getting started.
Jane Elliot Originated The Role Of Tracy On General Hospital Back In 1978
On the soap, Tracy has primarily been played by actress Jane Elliot, who first took on the role in 1978. Notably, Elliot also played the character on The City.
Over the years, she has served as one of the soap’s longest-serving characters. She was especially known for her rivalry with her sister-in-law Dr. Monica Quartermaine. However, recent years have seen a softer, and more maternal side of the character.
However, some fans are starting to worry about Tracy thanks to recent events on the soap. As noted by What To Watch, Michael E. Knight’s Martin recently gave her an “epic takedown” at a nail salon recently on the soap.
Tracy started as a spoiled Port Charles socialite who knew how to hide her two colors. While viewers are used to seeing her as a villainess, some think she’s coming off as especially unhinged as of late.
As seen in recent episodes, Tracy rarely seems to leave the mansion. In addition, she is repeatedly lashing out at other characters.
One of her more recent targets is Sasha, who Olivia recently hired as a cook. In particular, Tracy told Sasha off after she claimed she was pregnant, after being asked to climb up on shelves all to catch a mouse.
Martin Thinks He Knows Tracy’s True Motive
Tracy also invaded Sasha’s privacy by trying to uncover who the baby’s father is. Some fans suspect if it comes to light that Michael is the baby’s father, she Tracy might try to take the child from her, adding them to the other children living at the Quartermaine mansion.
This, in turn, caused Sasha to call out the fact that Tracy had been keeping Willow from her children, despite not having the right to do so. At the time, Tracy claimed she was doing this on behalf on Monica.
Tracy’s excuse amounted to little during Martin’s recent takedown of her. He accused her of using “family” around as a shield, claiming she really wanted to get to Drew. As he also noted, “I know this much. Just because you dislike somebody doesn’t make them disreputable.”
Olivia and Lois also looked on, deciding not to initially interfere, saying they’d be involved if they started “throwing stuff.” As many fans noticed, it seems that the other characters have recently been letting Tracy have her way on the soap.
As mentioned, Tracy has served as a villain on the soap for years and has been capable of much more dangerous acts. In the end, only the series will show if Tracy gives into her softer side or continues her current tirades.
