General Hospital spoilers tease that as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is on his ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜʙᴇᴅ, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) are rubbing their hands together as he lies in the burn unit of GH. They make a move to get custody of Wiley and Amelia Corinthos-Vaughn-Weaver (Serenity and Sequoya MCO), possibly to claim widow status for Willow Corinthos (Caitlin McMullen), and we’re here for it!
As Michael endures his injuries, his loved ones—Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Josslyn Jax (Eden McCoy), Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)—are on pins and needles. Will he survive? Jason and Sonny were there when Michael was caught in the penthouse explosion and took major risks to get him out.
Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) has informed the family that Michael has burned over 40% of his body, and survival is a huge question mark. In times like this, Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) called hubby Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), who then informed Nina, who called Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison), who then put Willow on the phone. She has Wiley in DC, and everyone rushed back to Port Charles.
Now, the whole family, plus Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth), are at GH holding vigil. But crafty Nina and Martin are working hard to take advantage of the situation to get Willow sole custody of Wiley and Amelia. Martin finds out that although Michael had the separation and divorce papers done, his will is unchanged, and it allows for Willow to get custody. The will indicates that in the event of something like this, Willow gets the minor children.
You can bet that Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennessy) is unaware of Nina and Martin’s shenanigans, as she’s heartbroken over Michael. We predict that Alexis will give her a call to cover the bases. Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) is the ADA but has no power in kids’ court.
Nina and Martin are to be commended for their quick thinking and audacity. Tell us, GH fans: will they present Willow with full custody of Wiley and Amelia? Is this fair in your book, or do you think Michael’s welfare should be the first priority?
