General Hospital Comings and Goings: This fall, two characters are leaving, and 2 actors are being replaced

Topping the list is Sam Mal, a character brilliantly portrayed by actress Kelly Monaco. A few months ago, fans were abuzz about the passing of Kelly, who had been a fixture in the General Hospital world for many years.

It was thought to be a temporary exit for the star, but sadly, her character Sam is reportedly facing death, meaning Kelly is leaving the show with no sign of return.

While it’s unknown how Sam will die, fans are still hoping that Kelly will one day return to the screen with another role in the soap world.

It’s been three months since Finn entered rehab.

His father’s death was a slippery slope for him, which led him to turn to alcohol as a way to cope with his feelings of loss.

His excessive alcohol abuse affected many aspects of his life, including his love life and career.

With the encouragement and motivation of his family, he decided to go to rehab. By the end of October, he will return home.

Ironically, according to some behind-the-scenes sources, Finn will have an accident on his way back to town.

Worse, the accident is so serious that he would be gone forever.

That means Michael Easton won’t be returning to the screen either.

Along with the departure of two characters, viewers are also somewhat comforted by the appearance of new faces.

The beloved character Aiden is set to undergo a significant change as Colin Cassidy officially takes over the role.

This transition invites viewers to explore not only the complexities of Aiden’s character but also how this recasting could resonate throughout the vast narratives of Port Charles.

Colin Cassidy’s entry into the role of Aiden comes at a particularly momentous time in the storyline, aligning with recent events such as Lucy’s return to town. So, it promises to be an emotional and dramatic reunion.

In addition, General Hospital has exciting news regarding another character: Lucas Jones.

Actor Van Hansis has been confirmed to take on the role of Lucas, and he is set to make his long-anticipated debut on October 4.

For viewers familiar with Hansis, his talent is unmistakable, having garnered recognition for his compelling portrayal of various characters in the entertainment industry.
