Fans Outraged! General Hospital Preempted Again – Here’s Everything You Need to Know
There will be at least two, perhaps three, preemptions during the week of September 30th, according to General Hospital spoilers and updates. This week, there will only be three episodes instead of five. Why the change, and whose days will it affect?
Spoilers for General Hospital preemptions for the week of September 30th to October 4th: There will be at least two days when the program will not be showing, meaning there will only be three episodes. The scheduling adjustments have angered fans, and the fact that new episodes of soap operas are rarely skipped suggests that something important is going on for several reasons.
This week is significant for GH. According to Monsters and Critics, Port Charles will be very competitive, particularly with the November sweeps coming up. It’s significant that Lucky Spencer, played by Jonathan Jackson, is coming back to support his sister, and that John Jagger Kates, portrayed by Adam Harrington, is still investigating a murder. Lucky is the closest donor match for Lulu Spencer, played by Lexi Ainsworth, who has been in a coma for almost three years and is currently experiencing liver failure.
G spoilers: Alexis Davis’s deception, Carly Spencer’s fears, and Sam’s calls of impending death. Despite the fact that Lucky and Jason Morgan, played by Steve Burton, are now safe in Port Charles, Carly Spencer, portrayed by Laura Wright, is concerned about them. But Alexis Davis, played by Nancy Lee Grahn, is the one who makes up the story that she killed Jagger in order to protect Christina Corinthos Davis, played by Kate Mony, knowing her mother is innocent. Molly Lansing Davis, portrayed by Kristen Vaganos, wants Sonny Corinthos, played by Maurice Benard, to pay for his misdeeds.
The episode on Thursday, September 26th, included a shocking kiss between Jason and Anna Devane, portrayed by Finola Hughes. It was unexpected, but it happened. Given that Kelly Monaco’s character, Sam, is about to die, Jason might want to consider finding love somewhere else.
Spoilers for General Hospital: Why are there so many preemptions? What’s up with the show’s three-day work week, and what’s causing it? Sports have the solution. The show will not air on Tuesday, October 1st, or Wednesday, October 2nd. Fans will be disappointed, but there’s more worrying news: they won’t be aware of this until Wednesday’s game, which might cut the week down to just two episodes if a wild card game is played on Thursday, October 3rd. There are only two definite air dates, so put Monday, September 30th, and Friday, October 4th, on your calendars.
Naturally, you could catch Stan A. Smith, who plays Brick, announcing sports on ABC and ESPN, more animated than he ever will be in the role of Brick.
Genie spoilers: There are more reasons why fans are even less happy. Fans are less happy for other reasons too, particularly that kiss between Jason and Anna. It’s unclear if romance is on the horizon or if this was merely a plot device. Fans were genuinely repulsed by the circumstances since, among other awkward things, Jason had a long-term connection with Robin, Anna’s mother.
Furthermore, there isn’t much chemistry between Jason and Anna. In fact, several people have urged for the cancellation of the program, although it didn’t work. Kelly Monaco’s last day was taped on September 27th. Fans are furious over her termination and are urging for her to return to the program. It’s strange that they’re letting her go, yet it makes perfect sense that they want her to stay.
