Awful Secret!! It’s Over! General Hospital Lucky Spencer Drops Breaking News! It will shock you!
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that there’s a chance Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) could be a perfect match to donate part of his liver. However, the tests may reveal that his liver isn’t healthy enough to save his sister Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havens).
Although Lucky is in good health now, his past struggles with drugs and alcohol may show up in his liver tests. These tests will screen for liver function to ensure his enzymes aren’t too high—similar to what caused Lulu’s health to deteriorate into cirrhosis and liver failure.
Even though Lucky’s liver may function well enough for him, it might not meet the criteria needed for a transplant to Lulu. This situation mirrors what happened when Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) was tested. His liver was perfectly fine for himself but wasn’t suitable for Lulu, even though his bone marrow once saved her life when she was a baby.
Now, the search is on for another potential donor. While Aiden Spencer (Colin Cassidy) could be a match, no one wants to test children for such a dangerous operation. Lulu’s nephew Ace Prince Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay) is far too young, and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) is currently missing.
Even though Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis)—one of Lulu’s own children—might be a closer match, doctors are hesitant to put any of the kids through such a high-risk procedure, even to save Lulu’s life.
Years ago, a controversial transplant performed by Silas Clay (Michael Easton) used Avery Jerome Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) liver tissue to save her mother’s life, but that wouldn’t be approved today. While Lulu’s teenage children or nephew might still be a match, no one wants to take that route unless absolutely necessary. And unfortunately, time is running out.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) wasn’t a match for baby Lulu, and back then, Lucky was too young to be considered for testing. With Rocco and Charlotte now 15 and Aiden close in age, the question remains: Will they be forced to step up as donors? However, as Asaiah Gannon (Sandi Wilson) explained to Lucky, liver donation is much more dangerous than other transplants.
It would already be risky for Lucky, let alone a teenager. Even Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) wasn’t a match. It’s possible Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) might be tested, but time is ticking away—and Lulu’s condition continues to worsen.
Will Lulu be able to hang on?
