‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that the ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ and tribute of Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) are in the works. Soap leakers claim that Erika Slezak may be set to play Monica’s long-lost sister.

Sadly, veteran soap actress Leslie Charleson passed away this past January. The show will soon portray Monica’s exit story and memorial service.

Daytime Confidential’s insider report indicates that Slezak will play Monica’s sister. If it’s true, she may butt heads with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).

We can imagine a scenario where a dispute over Monica’s will may arise, leading to some amusing antics between Tracy and Slezak’s character.

The ABC network has opted to remain tight-lipped about Slezak’s short-term role on GH. However, rumors are swirling that Slezak will play Monica’s sibling.

Slezak is best known for her role as Viki Lord Buchanan on the now-defunct soap opera One Life to Live. She played Viki on the sudser from 1971 until the show was canceled in 2012.

Viki famously struggled with dissociative identity disorder. Being sexually abused as a child, and the trauma of the incident resulted in her having multiple personalities.

Due to her honest and raw portrayal, Slezak holds the record for the most Daytime Emmy wins for a performer. She won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series a whopping six times.

Soap fans would love to see Slezak return as her Llanview character. It would also make perfect sense if that were the case.

Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning) is a journalist for the Llanview Banner with Viki as her editor. She could come to Port Charles in a story related to everyone’s favorite busybody (that would be Lulu!)

Viki may also be the only person who could possibly get through to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). There has been much speculation regarding Willow’s mental health.

What if Willow also has multiple personalities and one of her altars kidnapped baby Daisy (Levi Clark Coughlin), removed her from her crib, gaslit Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), and ran her out of town?

If anyone could spot whether someone is suffering from DID, it would be Viki. It would be a compelling storyline and explain Willow’s recent behavior.

There has to be more to it than that; she’s brainwashed by Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Viki could get to the bottom of why Willow has been acting so out of character.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time characters from Llanview have paid a visit to Port Charles. Some examples include Kassie DePaiva as Blair Cramer, Roger Howarth as Todd Manning, Michael Easton as John McBain, and Kristen Alderson as Starr Manning. GH enjoys its crossovers with characters from OLTL and All My Children.

That said, it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary to see Viki Lord in Port Charles. However, the idea of Slezak playing Monica’s sister is intriguing. Regardless, viewers are eager for Leslie Charleson to have a meaningful ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ arc, tribute, and memorial service.

Slezak is slated to appear on GH sometime this fall, and several sources claim she’ll be involved somehow in the aftermath of Monica’s ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ.
