General Hospital spoilers tease that John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) is finally about to put an end to the Pikeman case. When he came to town, it was after he had forced Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to work undercover for the FBI.
Cates was blackmailing Jason with information that could put Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in prison for over 20 years. Cates agreed to let Jason free once Pikeman was taken down. But he has another goal as well, and he may not be willing to let Jason go just yet.

Once upon a time, Sonny hired underage Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne) to work for him. During her time with Sonny, Karen became a stripper and was addicted to drugs. Eventually, Karen and Cates found love and she left Sonny’s employ.
Cates has never forgotten what Sonny did to Karen all those years ago. And while it true that Sonny was a kind of father figure to Cates’ younger brother Stone Cates (Michael Sutton), that hasn’t diminished Cates’ hate for Sonny.
GH Spoilers – John Cates Wants To Put Sonny Corinthos In Prison
With the Pikeman case winding down, Cates can focus on his passion project. He’s already approached Ava Jerome (Maura West), hoping to get evidence from her in order to put Sonny in prison. Of course, Ava has plans of her own.
She’s replaced Sonny’s already altered bi-polar medication to become full placebo’s in the hopes of causing Sonny to have a complete mental breakdown.
Once Sonny learns that Ava and Cates have partnered against him, he may decide to take action. This is especially dangerous for Cates since Sonny is unmedicated.
General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Doesn’t Have An Enforcer.
In the past, Sonny has had Jason as his enforcer. But now, Jason isn’t currently working for him. That means Sonny may decide to take Cates out himself.
He could easily corner the FBI agent in a secluded place and end his life once and for all. This would actually play right into Ava’s hands.
If Sonny kills Cates and Ava can prove it, she will win custody of their daughter Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola). But would Ava actually let things go that far? And will Cates by the price for trusting Ava?
