Two ‘General Hospital’ Actors To Appear In Web Series
Two actors who previously appeared on General Hospital will appear alongside each other once again. However, instead of a soap, they’ll be working together in a web series. The project will also be more comedic than their usual soap opera work.
Quite A Few Soap Opera Stars Are Set To Appear
Actors Kin Shriner and Marcus Coloma are teaming up for a new season of their dramedy web series, 2 D–ks. Not only have Shriner and Coloma both been on General Hospital, the series often features other soap opera alumni as guest stars.
Kin Shriner is best known for playing Scott Baldwin on the soap, as well as the Port Charles spin-off. First appearing on the show in 1977, he’s appeared on a few other notable soaps over the years, such as As the World Turns and The Young and the Restless.
Meanwhile, Coloma is known for playing Nikolas Cassadine on the soap. Coloma first joined the cast in 2019, leaving the show in 2023.
A Missing Award Gives Way To A Murder Mystery
The new season will be known as 2 D–ks LA, Murder Mystery, set to premiere on October 27, 2024. Vincent Irizarry will be featured in the new season. Irizarry himself is something of a soap opera buff, appearing in Guiding Light, All My Children, One Life to Live, and Days of Our Lives.
Coloma and Shriner both posted a promotional trailer for the series on their Instagram accounts. As Coloma wrote in the caption, “I was in Florida on the phone with @mauricebenard and @kinshriner and we were going to do a film noir called “The Maltese Emmy” and it turned into this incredible ride with some of the most talented actors I know.”
“Some of these clips are bitter sweet because we lost a couple of incredible artists. Thanks to the great cast, and thanks for all of the comments and likes, it’s no fun without an audience. Good times, great actors, much love.”
As seen in the trailer, Coloma and Shriner play detectives hired to find a missing award. However, they soon come across a murder case. In the series, as noted by Soap Hub, Coloma plays Ernestino, Shriner plays Stanley Hoffman, and Irizarry plays Frank.
John Stamos, arguably best known for the series Full House, appeared in the trailer and had been a special guest on the series. Stamos himself is no stranger to soap operas, having played Blackie Parrish on General Hospital.
