Today, we’re diving into a major plot twist from General Hospital: Did Christina really kill Kates?
In a shocking turn of events, Sunny Corinthos, played by Maurice Benard, has become a central figure in this mystery.
FBI agent John Kates, portrayed by Adam Harrington, had recently arrested Sunny’s daughter, Christina Corinthos Davis, played by Lexi Ainsworth, for the attempted murder of Ava Jerome, played by Maura West.
During a recent altercation, ironically, Christina and her unborn baby were the ones who sustained injuries. In fact, the baby died, which led to manslaughter charges being added to Christina’s list of legal troubles for the death of her own child.
Kates, who has held a long-standing hatred for Sunny, had his own agenda. His plan was to make the charges against Christina go away as long as she confessed to all the crimes he had committed over the years as the head of the Corinthos organization.
Sunny eventually agreed to meet Kates at the Quartermaine boathouse, where he would turn himself in. Kates was ecstatic, thinking he was about to get everything he wanted, but that’s not what happened.
Meanwhile, Christina was reeling from all the trauma she had recently experienced. She took off for Sunny’s penthouse, grabbed one of Sunny’s guns, and disappeared.
Not long after, Sunny and Kates seemingly had their fateful meeting just as a terrible storm began to break. Kates was shocked when Sunny pulled out a gun, and after a brief confrontation, Sunny apparently shot Kates twice in the chest, killing him.
But what if that’s not what really happened? Christina isn’t in her right mind at the moment.
What if she met Kates at the boathouse and imagined it was Sunny who pulled the trigger when, in fact, it was her who killed Kates?
It doesn’t seem like Sunny would just shoot Kates out in the open like that. This isn’t Sunny’s first rodeo.
Besides, he seemed ready to confess everything to Kates. He had even told Diane Miller, played by Carolyn Hennessy, to be on standby, apparently ready to mount his defense.
Could it be that Christina doesn’t even know what she did and has blocked the whole thing out, leaving Sunny to take the blame for a crime he didn’t commit?
Did Sunny really kill Kates, or could Christina be hallucinating? Will Sunny take the fall for his daughter?
