90 Day Fiancé’s Angela Deem Files For Annulment After Michael Ilesanmi Ditches Her For New Family
Angela Deem from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? is dragging her husband Michael Ilesanmi to court for abandoning her and using her to allegedly come to the U.S. fraudulently. Angela came close to divorcing Michael after she caught him cheating in 2022. The couple attended 90 Day: The Last Resort and decided to continue their marriage. Michael got his spousal visa in Abidjan, where Angela also discovered he was part of a WhatsApp group named “Paradise Men.” Despite her apprehensions, Angela got Michael to America in December 2023, only for him to go missing a few weeks later.
Angela filed a Complaint For Annulment in June. She wants to erase the marriage and declare that their marriage was never legally valid.
According to Starcasm, Angela signed a Complaint For Annulment in June and filed it officially in Jeff Davis County, Georgia, on June 20, 2024. Angela and Michael got married on January 27, 2020, in Nigeria. As per InTouch, Angela’s paperwork mentioned that the couple had “lived in a state of separation” for 30 days before she filed. Angela is asking for an annulment because Michael allegedly “fraudulently induced” her into a marriage so he could gain “legal permanent resident status” in the U.S. Angela claimed Michael had been conspiring with “other Nigerian men to induce U.S. citizens into marriage.”
Angela Deem Claims She Still Hasn’t Found Michael Ilesanmi
Angela has mentioned there’s no joint debt or property between her and Michael, and that they don’t share children. She wants Michael to pay a “reasonable amount” of the fees that she’s spending on her attorney and other court costs. Meanwhile, Angela said that she doesn’t know Michael’s current whereabouts. She has carried out a “diligent search” and has concluded that Michael cannot be found “within the State.” She declared that she doesn’t know where Michael “lives” or where he “can be found.” Michael’s last known address is her Hazlehurst, Georgia, home.
Although Angela reported Michael missing on February 23, 2024, she now says that Michael lived with her until February 1, 2024, and that he “no longer lives there.” As she previously claimed at the time of Michael’s disappearance, she tried to contact his family in Nigeria but failed. Angela said she doesn’t know anything about Michael’s “known associates.” She had to place an advertisement in the local newspaper for her lawyer to serve Michael the paperwork, instead of hiring a process server because of her not knowing Michael’s current location. A judge signed off on the request.
Michael has not responded to the case yet, though it’s been almost two months. Michael has been spotted in Texas since he absconded from Angela’s house and is believed to be in Alvin. He has been using social media to document his life in the U.S. and also freely gives interviews to publications to talk about his relationship status with Angela after 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 wrapped up filming. He was recently rumored to have a new girlfriend, but Michael claimed the rumors are baseless.
