90 Day Fiancé Alum Mike Eloshway Found Guilty Of Possessing Inappropriate Material

Former 90 Day Fiancé alum Mike Eloshway has been found guilty of multiple counts of inappropriate material possession, including at least one photo of a child younger than 12 years old. Mike from Cleveland was 31 when 21-year-old Aziza came to the U.S. from Russia. Mike had met Aziza on a language learning website, and they spent six days in person before deciding to get married. Aziza was reluctant to show physical intimacy to Mike on 90 Day Fiancé as a part of their storyline. Mike and Aziza got married in October 2013 and welcomed a daughter in January 2019.

Mike Eloshway, who was first seen in 90 Day Fiancé season 1 in 2014, made headlines for a charge against him for possessing inappropriate photos and videos in June 2023, and now he’s been found guilty.

According to Cleveland, Mike was found guilty of two inappropriate material counts in the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division. He is currently facing a sentencing range of 17 years and five months to 20 years in prison. He has been sentenced for receiving, distributing, and possessing inappropriate material, following his conviction by an Ohio jury, via InTouch. The reality TV star’s lawyer supposedly argued that Mike’s “internet search requests were generic” and that they “cannot be proven,” as per a June 2024 filing. “The contraband came as unindexed parts of ‘torrents/floods’ of data,” the lawyer said in Mike’s defense.

The lawyer claimed that Mike had received the “contraband” through a “small number of torrents/floods” over time and that they were a “small percentage” of the total searches he had made in that period. The lawyer said that Mike had deleted the content when he discovered it. Mike had more than 7,000 videos or images involving children on his black HP computer seized from his home in Twinsburg, Ohio, during a May 2023 raid. Starcasm noted that Mike’s IP address was engaged in receiving and distributing such files via BitTorrent between February 13, 2022, and March 8, 2023.

However, Mike had pleaded not guilty at the time. He had said he was watching adult content at a difficult time in his life, including after he suffered serious injuries in a car crash and a friend tragically died.

Mike was arrested on June 15, 2023, and was released on a bond of $20,000 and a set of conditions. He had been asked to do things such as not changing his address, not using a computer for anything other than work, and staying away from any child below 18 years unless they were accompanied by an adult. The indictment led to him getting fired from his job and he had sought some modifications to the conditions as he was the sole caregiver of the family. He worked as an IT specialist for Cleveland Municipal Court during 90 Day Fiance.

Meanwhile, Mike will certainly be going behind bars. It also appears that Aziza is still with Mike and has been in support of him throughout the ordeal. Aziza was present in court and seemingly lowered her head when the verdict was announced. The Russian 90 Day Fiancé season 1 cast member has set her Instagram account to private, and Mike has deleted his profile since news of his arrest in 2023. Mike’s sentencing is set for October 29, 2024, at 11:30 a.m.
